Philosophy

Dedicated PYP teacher from Tasmania, Australia with over 10 years of experience in education, and over 9 years in a PYP setting. To be able to teach is an opportunity to be an inspiring influence in the lives of young people. This is achieved through creating successful student-teacher relationships by valuing each student as an individual with unique skills and abilities. This is evidenced through the design of meaningful and relative learning activities that prioritises student engagement while fostering the students' sense of self esteem. The learning environment is one where students feel safe to take risks and feel part of a community of learners where thinking is valued and celebrated.
