Rie Nagashima

A professional with hands-on experience in foreign talent recruitment and retention, recognized for the ability to address diverse challenges with flexibility and sound judgment. These strengths have been reinforced through extensive work supporting multinational talent, providing retention assistance, and managing two years of project assignments in Africa, which cultivated adaptability and cross-cultural competence. The successful development of a new business initiative in Ukraine further highlights creativity and a strong orientation toward contributing to organizational direction and goals.

Joined Pasona Inc. in 2002 as a general-track employee, gaining experience across the staffing services division, the overseas business department of an IT subsidiary, and sales roles within foreign-affiliated and food industry client teams. Since 2018, has been engaged in commissioned projects within the company’s Global Business Division　From 2020, served as a Sales Operations Project Manager, overseeing the full cycle from proposal development to project execution, and acting as the lead manager for major commissioned projects from the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare. Most recently, successfully launched the first support program in Shibuya for Afghan evacuees and resettled refugees.

Earlier experience includes serving as a Sales Officer at the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development in Malawi (Southern Africa) in 2006 and 2008, contributing to income improvement initiatives and distribution network development in agricultural villages. Earned a Master’s degree in International Cooperation from the University of Tokyo in 2014.
