Grew up in Japan, the UK, Germany, and Ecuador during childhood.I am a freelance consultant and journalist with over 32 years of experience covering the latest trends in the IT industry. As an honorary visiting professor at Kanazawa College of Art and Design, I have taught undergraduate students in the Design Department. At CMS development company, Revolver Co., I have provided guidance on business strategy and product development as an external director. As a board member for the James Dyson Foundation in Japan until 2022, I contributed to the foundation's mission of promoting Design Engineering education in Japan. Additionally, I have served as a judge for the Good Design Award evaluating the design quality, usability of commercial products. I have contributed articles to a wide range of Japanese newspapers and magazines, including Nikkei Sangyo Shimbun, Mainichi Shimbun, Asahi Shimbun, GQ Japan, Wired Japan, ELLE Magazine, ELLE DECOR, Casa Brutus, AXIS magazine, ON BEAT(a Bilingual Art Magazine), Monthly ASCII, Monthly MACPOWER, Monthly MacFan, and provided commentary on Japanese technology culture and design through Associated Press. I have also written articles for English publications, such as WIRED and Billboard Magazine. In addition, I co-hosted the iPhone release party with Softbank CEO, Masayoshi Son. I was also selected as one of the 200 journalists invited to Apple's first-generation iPod launch event in 2001 and have been invited to Apple's new product launch events since then. I am the only journalist in Japan entrusted with interviewing Apple's design department.

Worked on several projects as a freelance consultant for major Japanese telecommunication companies and electronics manufacturers, providing strategical proposals and recommendations while also giving advice to Silicon Valley tech companies to help promote their products in Japan. While most accomplishments in consulting work remain under non-disclosure agreement, one visible example was the iPhone Release Event I co-hosted with Softbank CEO, Masayoshi Son.
Started as the judge for James Dyson Award — an International design competition. Later when James Dyson Foundation was formed in Japan, become one of the board members and served to the foundation's mission of promoting Design Engineering education in Japan (until the Japanese foundation was absorbed into UK foundation in 2022).
