GLEN ROYCE

Accomplished international educator and IB leader with nearly two decades of experience in student-centered learning, inquiry-based teaching, and faculty development across the PYP and MYP. Currently serving as PYP Coordinator and acting elementary principal at an international school in Tokyo, where I lead programme alignment, staff training, and bilingual stakeholder engagement. Previously served as de facto Middle School Coordinator at AIC Guangzhou, launching an inquiry-based learning-aligned middle school program and mentoring teachers in inquiry pedagogy. Taught MYP Humanities and MYP Language & Literature at Beijing BISS, deepening expertise in concept-driven interdisciplinary learning; also served as a PYP homeroom teacher. N1-certified in Japanese and HSK-5 in Mandarin, with a passion for cultivating inclusive, inquiry-rich school cultures.

• Directed horizontal and vertical alignment of the PYP POI (Grades 1–5), embedding ATL and Learner Profile attributes across subjects.

In spare time, am passionate about youth sports coaching, social dancing and learning languages, including computer programming.
