Summary

I was born and raised in Myanmar, where I graduated from high school in 2019. After my graduation, I received a High School Exchange Program Scholarship to study in Japan. I spent the 2020-2021 academic year at a Japanese high school, where I learned about Japanese culture and language. After my exchange, I decided to continue my studies in Japan and am currently an undergraduate student at Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University.I am a hard-working and motivated student with a strong interest in international relations. I am fluent in English,Burmese and Japanese and I am also studying Spanish. I am a team player and I am eager to learn new things.

ASIA KAKEHASHI Exchange Program

Activities

  • Asia Kakehashi (Kakehashi means "Bridging" in Japanese) is a program for culture exchanging between Japanese High School student and the student from Asia in Japan.
  • The Irrawaddy Literary Festival is a volunteer Program in Irrawaddy Festival in Mandalay, Myanmar which I was charged in escorting writers from abroad and making the event space for the event.
  • APU Academic and Cultural Experience is a program offered by Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University for High School students from all over the world to interact and exchange culture through different activities.
  • The ASEAN Youth Volunteer Programme (AYVP) is a youth community leadership programme that mobilizes young volunteers to work with communities in developing innovative solutions to the social, cultural, economic and environmental challenges of the region while forging a sense of ASEAN identity.
  • Global Citizenship Program is designed to foster an understanding of diversity in a multicultural community, initiative, cooperation and communication skills, citizenship and normativity, etc., through the three types of learnings which are Theoretical learning, Empirical Learning and Inspirational Learning.
  • Resident assistants (RAs) are students at a college or university who provide supervision and support in on-campus dormitories. As a resident assistant, you enforce school rules, engage your fellow students to build camaraderie in your residence hall, and provide academic or emotional support when necessary.
  • Nagasaki Youth peace Network Program is a program that support youth from Asia and the pacific to build global network for peace building. Through the exchange of local and international views on war and peace from regions, the students are encountered to understand the other side and discover the new perspectives for the coordinating efforts in the future.
