ambition

After turning 30, I decided to go to the University of London and take English conversation classes twice a day. I will spare no effort to become an engineer who can contribute to the world.


Experience of working in English

For the first four years after graduating from university, I worked for SUMITOMO WAREHOUSE, one of the largest corporate groups in Japan. I have been working in trade practice and all commercial invoices were written in English, so I have more than five years of experience using English at work.


I was involved in team development as a scrum master for an international team in a Tokyo-based company, where from 2022 about almost all of the team will be Vietnamese and I will be checking their progress of task in English.


Like many Japanese, I am not a good English speaker now. On the other hand, I am good at writing, so I can talk to the Vietnamese team on the slack and discuss tasks with them without any problems, as well as chat with them on the slack to facilitate team communication. I catch up on work-related tech knowledge such AWS information etc. using English videos and documents, so reading and listening are not a problem.
