- As an assistant language teacher (ALT) with Interac, I was responsible for creating and delivering lessons in collaboration with Japanese teachers of English. I have worked with nine senior high schools over the past five years. In doing so, I have learned to work in a Japanese work environment. I have also had to adjust to the various levels and expectations of my different schools. It has forced me to become adaptable, to be resilient, to learn how to plan ahead, and to become more confident in my speaking abilities.
