Project Experience

ARAMCO & BAOSTEEL New Integrated steel Complex

Ras Al Khair IndustrialCity, Saudi Arabia

Aramco Overseas Company B.V (ARAMCO) and Baoshan Iron & Steel Co. (BAOSTEEL) are going to develop a new Integrated Steel Complex to produce 1.5 Mtpy of high quality steel plates, CISDI is invited to bid the Main infrastructures and Auxiliary facilities package based on EPC mode.

  • Analyzed tender documents and technical appendices related to digitalization. Worked closely with the project team to incorporate digital workflows and BIM-related considerations into the cost estimation process.
  • Collaborated with multidisciplinary teams to execute bid-stage BIM designs. Leveraged BIM model-derived quantities (materials, labor, and equipment) to assist in the preparation of accurate cost estimates and bid pricing, ensuring efficient resource allocation and competitive pricing.
  • Directed the creation of high-quality bid renderings and animations to enhance proposal presentations, effectively communicating design concepts, material requirements, and project timelines. Ensured that visual representations aligned with cost estimates and bid specifications, facilitating clearer decision-making for stakeholders.

CISDI was enquired for engineering of a twin BF complex at JSOL steel plant complex at Angul, Odisha for an annual hot metal capacity of 4.375 MTPA

  • Customized and configured OpenPlant workspaces to align with project-specific requirements, ensuring the models were tailored to meet the unique needs of the twin BF complex.
  • Assisted in extracting accurate quantities from OpenPlant models for cost estimation and resource planning. This included identifying material quantities, equipment, and labor requirements, supporting the cost estimation process and ensuring alignment with project budgets and timelines.
