Additional Information

I am applying to Bank of America's Investment Banking division because of its strong global network, exceptional resources, and proven track record in the industry. My interest in economics began before I entered university when I observed the rapid rise of cryptocurrencies. This phenomenon made me realize the importance of understanding economic principles to effectively manage and grow wealth. The dynamic and evolving nature of financial markets, exemplified by the emergence of cryptocurrencies, inspired me to pursue a degree in Economics.
As a result, I enrolled in the Faculty of Economics at Kobe University. During my studies, I have focused on various subjects including financial data analysis, macroeconomics, microeconomics, and econometrics. My specialization in econometrics has equipped me with advanced skills in statistical analysis and modeling, which are crucial for understanding complex economic phenomena. Additionally, I am currently taking courses in Finance and Asset Management, which are directly relevant to the investment banking sector. These courses have provided me with a solid foundation in understanding financial markets, investment strategies, and the principles of asset management. Through these studies, I have gained valuable insights into evaluating financial assets, managing portfolios, and assessing investment risks.
I am a recipient of the AEON Scholarship for 2023-2025, awarded for academic excellence and commitment to community service. This scholarship has provided me with additional resources to further my studies and engage in community service projects.
In addition to my academic pursuits, I am actively involved in extracurricular activities. As a member of the Judo Club since 2022, I have developed strong leadership and teamwork skills. Notably, I helped organize training sessions and team activities, and I achieved significant milestones, including winning the Sansho Tournament in 2022 and being runner-up in 2023.
I am also a member of the Student Earthquake Relief Team since 2022, where I have participated in various community service projects. This includes relief efforts in Miyagi Prefecture, where I assisted residents in temporary housing. This experience enhanced my understanding of the importance of community support and resilience.
Furthermore, I am proficient in Japanese and Korean, with a good command of English. These language skills have enabled me to communicate effectively in diverse settings and engage with a wide range of people.
These experiences, combined with my academic background in Economics at Kobe University, have equipped me with a diverse skill set that I am eager to apply in a professional setting. I am confident that these skills, along with my commitment to continuous learning and community service, will allow me to contribute effectively to the dynamic environment of Bank of America's Investment Banking division.
