Engineer with hands-on experience at Mitsubishi Electric, specializing in robotics and automation. Successfully designed and built an "Education Training Cell," showcasing strong project management and mechanical design skills.
Experience working abroad in a foreign culture strengthened my ability to work in difficult environments. Learning from experts, some with 40+ years experience in the field.
As part of the Factory Automation department, I worked with Mitsubishi hardware and software to develop proof-of-concept solutions and address customer challenges. A key project involved independently designing and building an "Education Training Cell" from the ground up. This included system design, vendor coordination, assembly, wiring, programming, and creating training materials—all within a fixed deadline. The project was successfully delivered and provided valuable hands-on experience across multiple engineering areas.
In April 2025, I relocated from Dublin to Nagoya, Japan, for a six-month training program at the Factory Automation facility. The program focused on robotics and peripheral technologies, including 2D/3D vision systems, force sensors, additional axes, quality assurance, and robot development. I applied this training by contributing to a small team tasked with building a robotic cell for server assembly. This experience was invaluable for my development, offering exposure to a new working environment and deepening my knowledge of robotics and automation.
Happy to discuss my training in more detail upon request.
