With a proven track record at The Origin Co., Ltd., I've led sustainability initiatives and M&A activities, showcasing exceptional team leadership and project management skills. In MUFG Bank, creating excellent relationship with Japanese enterprises and China’s various kinds of local development areas, business matching worked well to promote businesses that might contribute to actualize to enrich both economic entities.
I am ready to contribute to achieve good relation between Hong Kong and Japan in terms of business and cultural collaboration.
Upon joining Origin Co., Ltd. in 2014, I was initially responsible for overseeing M&A activities of Indonesian companies and managing the operations of our Chinese subsidiary as part of the overseas strategy. Subsequently, I focused on fostering an internal momentum for sustainability initiatives, actively promoting the visualization of non-financial information, which has been highly praised by institutional investors and analysts. Through public relations efforts, I helped improve recognition, and as an influencer at earnings briefings via IR videos, I served as the host and contributed to the enhancement of presentation materials, which received appropriate recognition from the market and investors. Currently, I am involved in the United Nations Global Compact, aiming for global sustainability standards and promoting relentless activities contributing to decarbonization and improving corporate value. I am in the process of completing the 2024 Sustainability Report.
Achievements:
Over the past ten years since joining the company, I have shared the recognition with the management that sustainability is key to enhancing corporate value. I started with the CSR Committee and have since progressed to the Sustainability Committee, building a system that responds to the sustainability demands required by the company. The 2024 edition of the Sustainability Report has been completed. We have also clearly outlined the progress of our sustainability efforts in statutory financial statements such as the securities report, receiving appropriate recognition from investors.
Key Points:
A committee system was introduced, with the president at the top. All business divisions, administrative departments, factories, and locations work together as one company, creating a significant wave that led to the establishment of a system capable of explaining our efforts to stakeholders. Based on a broad understanding of management areas such as public relations, IR, risk management, and corporate governance, preparation in line with the latest trends from organizations like the United Nations is essential. As a B2B company, we not only provide products but also actively offer consultations on sustainability, including expertise and know-how.
After graduating from Otaru University of Commerce, I joined Mitsubishi Bank (currently MUFG Bank) in 1984, where I worked in corporate banking at the Sapporo and Nagoya branches. My experience includes domestic study at the Japan-America Society, a business trip to Baghdad, and subsequent work in the European Division’s Middle East Desk. I was later dispatched by the company to study abroad in France, where I pursued MBA courses at ESCP (École Supérieure de Commerce de Paris) and INSEAD (European Institute of Business Administration). I have also worked at the Paris, Nagoya, and Beijing branches, where I was involved in establishing the China Desk in the International Operations Division. Additionally, I have served as a compliance advisor in the Corporate Compliance Division and led a team of 80 in the Export Group at the Foreign Exchange Operations Center.
My ability to gather market information, analyze the collected market data, and make judgments in trading various markets such as the foreign exchange, interest rate, and derivatives markets has been extremely useful in driving corporate sales, crisis management during overseas assignments, and in developing compliance strategies when constructing a company’s long-term strategy as a going concern. I believe this approach is based on meticulous communication and is essential for achieving success.

Kyudo is a traditional Japanese martial art that uses a Japanese longbow to shoot arrows at a target, cultivating a calm and unwavering mind through the practice of these actions. It is not only excellent for physical training, but also for mental discipline, as it helps to maintain focus and not be affected by success or failure, or by one's surroundings. While there are various schools of archery based on ancient martial arts, it is said that the majority of Kyudo practitioners do not belong to a specific school.
I began practicing Kyudo at the age of 50 and was granted the rank of Godan (5th dan) at the age of 60. I am currently undergoing the promotion exam to the rank of Renshi, which is a leadership level, and I am focusing day and night on training, challenges, and strengthening my mental fortitude. I also serve as the vice president of the Shibuya Kyudo Federation.
