Neha Kharel

A dedicated Engineering Geology student with hands-on experience in geological mapping, landslide characterization, groundwater investigation, and construction material analysis. Proficient in GIS, geotechnical analysis, and seismic microzonation and demonstrates excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership skills. Highly adaptable and committed to continuous learning.

• Participated as an exhibitor in the 4th Geo- Science Exhibition organized by Nepal Geological Students Society in collaboration with Central Department of Geology held from 9th to 11th February 2023 at Kirtipur, Kathmandu, Nepal.
• Participated as volunteer in Field Camp 2021, “A training program on Seismic Microzonation using Microtremor Survey in Banepa Valley” organized by Tribhuvan University SEG Student Chapter in collaboration with M.Sc. Engineering Geology Program, Tri- Chandra Multiple Campus and support from SEG foundation.
• Participated on training on “Seismic Microzonation using Microtremor Survey in Banepa Valley, Nepal” field camp 2021 held from December 2021 to January 2022 at Kathmandu, Nepal supported by Society of Exploration Geophysicists foundation, USA.
• Participated as a volunteer in school awareness, entitled as “Raising awareness on Melting of Himalaya and its Impacts in Nepal” at Janajyoti English Secondary School, Tahachal, Kalimati, Kathmandu on 24th of September 2023 organized by Tribhuvan University SEG Student Chapter.
• Participated as a volunteer in Outreach 2023, entitled as “ An Outreach Program on Raising Awareness about Climate Change, Melting Himalaya and Its Impact in Nepal” at Jitpur Higher Secondary School, Tarkeshwor-3, Kathmandu, organized by Tribhuvan University SEG Student Chapter with support of Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG) Foundation.
• Participated in TUSEGSC Futsal Tournament 2023 organized by Tribhuvan University SEG Student Chapter held on 2023/10/06.
• Participated in SAKURA SCIENCE Exchange Program administered by Japan Science and Technology Agency ran by Shimane University from November 19th to 25th in 2024.

• Preparation of geological route maps in Malekhu and Palpa in 3rd and 4th years of bachelors level
• Preparation of geological and engineering route map in Hetauda and Baglung area
• Study and characterization of landslides, failure modes of rock in Baglung area
• Investigation of Groundwater in Trishuli area
• Construction Material Mapping and laboratory test of coarse aggregates of Trishuli area.
