Singers like Nahomi who can sing Enka-Kayou (Good old Japanese songs that were boomed mainly from the 1940s to 1990s) are rare in contemporary Japan. And a Japanese singer who sings Arabic songs and has no Arabic background is even rarer in the world. Nahomi's voice also has a touch that is favored by those who prefer these genres.
Next spring, Nahomi will make her major debut in Japan in the Enka-Kayou style from Tokuma Japan Communications CO. This major debut will provide an opportunity to introduce Arab music or elements of it to the Japanese market.
A dedicated vocalist with extensive training in Japanese Enka-Kayou singing style under Famous and great writers and artists Keisuke Hama, Taiji Nakamura and Akito Yomo.
Nahomi has made multiple appearances in the Arab world's television media and at events organized by Arab embassies in Japan to become a bridge between the Arab and Japan. In addition to singing the original Arabic songs, she continues to provide Japanese translations and Japanese version lyrics to reach new audiences in Japan.
Joined an Arabic music ensemble of Japanese musicians trained in Tunisia in an effort to bring the music of the Malouf music to Japan from 2011.
While most of performers in lounge play Western instruments and sing Japanese or Western pop music, Nahomi is only performer who be able to sing Enka-Kayou repertoire for a decade. Customers always welcome Nahomi's singing because understand its characteristics and rarity.
Often responding to the requests of customers, Nahomi also works with musicians to learn how to respond flexibly to situations.
