My secondary job is a hazardous material handler. I am versed in the handling and disposal of hazardous materials. I was appointed environmental control coordinator, responsible for ordering and maintaining all dangerous materials. Also ensured environmental compliance on base as well as adhering to Japanese ecological standards. In my primary role as an expeditionary airfield technician, I am responsible for a range of critical tasks that ensure the safety and efficiency of air operations. This includes the meticulous creation of landing zones, where I assess the terrain and design suitable areas for aircraft to take off and land. I also install and operate runway lighting systems that guide pilots during night operations or low-visibility conditions, enhancing safety during critical moments. Additionally, I set up arresting gear, essential safety equipment that helps recover aircraft in emergencies, preventing potential accidents on the runway. My duties extend to constructing, maintaining, and managing runways, where I apply my technical expertise to ensure that our airfields are safe and functional.

In my secondary role as a hazardous material handler, I take on the responsibility of managing potentially dangerous substances. I am well-versed in the proper handling, storage, and disposal methods for hazardous materials, prioritizing safety and environmental protection. As the appointed Environmental Control Coordinator, I oversee the acquisition and maintenance of all dangerous materials on base, ensuring that we adhere to strict regulatory standards. I am also tasked with ensuring environmental compliance, both within the base and in alignment with Japanese ecological regulations, to ensure our operations contribute to a sustainable and safe environment.
