Work History

Research Assistant

Okinawa Institue of Science and Technology
2022.10 - Current
  • Completed 3 research projects in the areas of Quantum Computing, High Energy Physics and Applied Mathematics.
  • Integrated encoded permutation techniques in standard quantum factoring algorithms, accelerating operating speed by a factor of 5.
  • Reviewed and critically evaluated high level research on the gauge consistency of the Higgs mechanism.
  • Developed proof-of-concept Python software for breast cancer diagnosis using gradient descend approach to electrical impedance tomography.
  • Delivered seminars where I communicated my ideas to other researchers in the University.

Internship Student

Gottingen ATLAS group
2021.06 - 2021.09
  • Analyzed over 30GB of proton-proton collisions from ATLAS in the tt-gamma channel with ROOT as part of DAAD rise program.
  • Adapted pre-existing machine-learning framework for signal/background analysis using python and improved performance by 13%.
  • Quantified performance of different classification network architectures using metrics like the area under the ROC curve and signal-background separation.
  • Attended Gottingen Hadron Collider Physics School (HASCO).

Internship Student

Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (JINR)
2020.11 - 2021.01
  • Analyzed 7GB of simulated gold-gold collision in C++ in preparation for future multipurpose detector at NICA collider as part of INTERSET program.
  • Applied relativistic fluid mechanics models to extract QCD phase transition temperature from simulated momentum spectra.
  • Presented complex data analyses and theoretical models clearly and concisely to an international group of researchers.
  • Tackled challenges in data analysis and model fitting by brainstorming solutions with team members, demonstrating adaptability and critical thinking.

Personal Projects

Speaker at Okinawa-Europe Cultural Exchange Association (2024)

Delivered engaging presentation at outreach event for over 100 high school to encourage them to pursue a career in science.

Active Cell Transport in Complex Live Tissue (2022)

Developed and compared statistical and deep learning algorithms to characterize hemocyte transport in fruit fly embryo. Data was modeled as fractional Brownian motion, and the Hurst exponent was reconstructed with a root-mean-square error of 8%.

Quantum Factoring (2019)

Designed optical circuit to factorize number 15 using Shor's algorithm. Participated in two research competitions, national and international, where I communicated my results to a broad audience of over 200 non-specialists.

  • 1st Prize at "Certamen de Jovenes Investigadores", Spain 2019.
  • Awarded best project in Computer Science, Engineering and Telecommunications at "Step Into the Future", Russia 2020.
  • Special award for achievements in engineering of the Technological University of Russia MIREA, Russia 2020.
