Extended sabbatical to explore Japan. Left New Zealand in late December 2020 and have been working with a business partner and New Zealand manufacturers and retailers, building opportunities within the Japanese domestic market.

Working within the leadership team of Datacom’s Cloud Platform Services to analyse and develop strategic business services and opportunities, during and after significant organisational changes to corporate structure, accounting practices and business unit organisation within Datacom

• Focus on accounting and financial analysis after significant changes to ERP platform.
• Drafted reports on company financial metrics to assess successes and account for deficiencies.

Management of the largest PMO within Datacom, delivering project services across the broader Professional Services, Networks and Cyber Security businesses.

• Led the disparate teams through a period of complex change, bringing people together and moving towards delivering cohesive and dynamic Project, Program and Portfolio Management services for customers across the Datacom New Zealand and Australian businesses.
• In 18 months turned a business from a loss leader into a profitable P&L.
• 37 direct reports with a ~$40m pa portfolio.
• Developed modern framework for PMO services, and helped shift customers from traditional waterfall project delivery to Agile ways of working.

The Business Manager role in Datacom can best be compared to a small business owner. Responsible for the strategy, growth, profitability and sustainability of a Professional Service group delivering Project Management services across Datacom’s Networks and Securities business.

• Developed the capability within the business, maintaining stable growth and maturity improvement, increasing quality of services delivered, profitability of projects, and staff engagement.
• Led 13 direct reports, responsible for delivering projects ranging from $5k to $2m+.
• Successfully delivered multiple large scale infrastructure projects to some of New Zealand's largest organisations.
• Dramatically increased staff engagement and talent retention.

Led delivery for a major outsource of ICT services to one of New Zealand's largest organisations with the utilities sector. Responsible for maintaining quality delivery of operational services from multiple delivery teams across the Datacom organisation.

• Built and maintained relationships within Datacom and the customer’s teams, fostering collaboration between organisations.
• Led 7 direct reports, responsible for delivery of services across a broad range of the contract.
• Successfully negotiated an uncontested re-sign of the outsource contract.
• Maintained one of the highest levels of staff engagement throughout Datacom.

A multi-faceted role working across Service Delivery and Team Leadership within a Technical Consulting Group in the Datacom Engineering business in Wellington.

• Responsible for business development, relationship management, team leadership, solution development and project management.
• Successfully negotiated extension of a multi year application support contract.
• Developed support model for critical bespoke application stack within the utilities sector.

Entry level through to senior technical delivery roles within Datacom and various government organisations.

• Initially working as an Engineer in the EUC space as my first role in IT.
• Shifted to an in house level 1, 2 and 3 support role within Reserve Bank of New Zealand.
• Returned to Datacom to take a lead role at Vector Limited as a Systems Engineer managing one of the core applications within the New Zealand energy sector.
