During 9-year tenure at Rakuten Group, Inc., have been dedicated to maximizing the sales of companies listed on Rakuten Ichiba, one of Japan's largest online malls.
Role as an EC Consultant involved providing strategic consulting to both new and existing stores to optimize their sales performance.
In addition, managed 25-30 people as a manager in 3 different locations. (Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya)
To educate them, implemented the program called "Namiki lessens" teaching how to build a rapport with clients, how to make a proposal by SPIN Selling and so on.
One of notable achievements was involvement in the project with NIKE in 2020.
NIKE conducted a test launch on Rakuten Ichiba for one year, and was the Rakuten representative responsible for ensuring the success of this initiative. The goal was to meet the first-year sales target, which was crucial for NIKE to proceed with a full-scale launch on the platform.
To achieve this mission, led a team of over 20 members, collaborating with NIKE's EC Sales, Product Merchandising, and Marketing departments.
Implemented the following three strategies:
1. Demand Forecasting and Procurement Consulting: Provided insights on expected sales volumes on Rakuten Ichiba to guide NIKE's product procurement decisions.
2. Pricing Optimization: Developed pricing strategies based on maximum allowable discount rates to optimize sales.
3. Promotion Strategy: Planned and executed promotional strategies aligned with Rakuten Ichiba's monthly events to boost visibility and sales.
As a result, not only did surpass the initial sales targets, but also achieved the prestigious "Shop of the Year" in the first year of NIKE's launch. This award is given to only 0.03% of the 50,000 stores on Rakuten Ichiba, highlighting the exceptional success of the project.
Gained a contract of "Rakuten Smart Pay" which is the Credit card Payment service in Rakuten Group as an internship employee.
