Oliver Bernstein

My name is Oliver Bernstein. Thank you so much for reading my resume and considering me for employment. Since I moved to Japan in June, 2017, I have worked in the English industry as an instructor, however after teaching myself to program I have found my passion as a front-end and back-end programmer while making use of mastery of Japanese, communication skills and abilities as a quick learner.
I work as a web developer in my current place of employment mainly specializing in backend development while doing frontend work in various projects as well (mainly large-scale projects for very notable clients). In my first two years as an engineer I went from being a complete beginner to being the head engineer on a large scale project as well as giving courses to 2nd-year employees on backend techniques while only being a 2nd-year employee myself. This is due, in no small part to the speed of my ability to learn and grow as a programmer.
In addition to Web Development, my current place of employment has me, at times, working as an interpreter between clients and third-parties (Japanese to English, English to Japanese) as well as a translator for business proposals (Japanese to English).
I am currently in search of a new place of employment which has a large amount of development projects to keep me busy while growing as a programmer. If possible any opportunity to learn form other co-workers or exercise my skills as a translator/interpreter is a plus as well!
