Founder and President of wireless retail and wholesale operations in Hawaii, Las Vegas and Japan. Company is Premier Dealer of T Mobile, Verizon, ATT and other generic sim cards in Hawaii. Company also rents portable WiFi devices and markets unlocked phones.
In 2019, before the Pandemic, HBS was the third largest independent dealer of T Mobile in the US, behind dealers in NY and Miami, averaging over 600 activations per month.
In late 2021, I turned over the company to my long-time right-hand man.
Pribilof Island Processors (PIP) was formed in 1987 to process fisheries such as Crab, Halibut, Salmon on the island of Pribilof in Alaska. Native were called Aleuts and was granted special fishing privileges by the US Federal Government around the Pribiloff Islands. We formed a partnership arrangement with the Aleuts whereby we would build, at our expense, a brand new $20 million cannery in St Paul, Pribilof Island, employing 300. In return, my company will be granted exclusive rights to buy for all fisheries delivered to the Island .
I was one of three original investors. PIP recorded sales of US $20 million/yr from 1987 to 1991. Sold shares in 1991.
Started Real Estate firm in Hawaii in 1984. In 1987 Pax Realty recorded sales exceeding $200 million with a srtaff of 4., At the time, the Firm was one of the largest in Hawaii
Sold shares to pursue new venture in Alaska.
After leaving Singer, I joined Otis Elevator, a Subsidiary of United Technologies as full time Director fo Human Resources in San Francisco initially then in Singapore. . Reporting directly to the President of Asia Pacific Division, this position was similar to the one I held at Singer.
The Asia Pacific countries of Otis consisted of Japan, India, Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand and Singapore. I visited all countries frequently for direct face to face interaction with top level management personnel.
I was responsible for developing Compensation, Benefit and Bonus packages for the Senior staff and implementing other key personnel related programs such as Safety Manual, Work Environment procedures and Job Descriptions, I resigned in 1984 when the President decided to retire and a new President was installed
Reporting to the Vice President of Personnel, as full time Director of Human Resources、was responsible for Monitoring, Developing and Implementing comprehensive Compensation and Benefit Packages for the Company's worldwide employees. Visited several countries such as Japan, Brazil, Mexico, Singapore, Columbia and India for direct face to face interaction with management personnel.
This position was a perfect fir for my background and experience but I resigned when the company relocated its headquarters to Connecticut as I wanted to remain in New York.
As Full time employee, reporting to the Director of Human Resources, was responsible for managing compensation and benefits packages for Pfizer's top level management. Developed Executive Compensation program known at the time as "Compensation Regression Analysis" to facilitate evaluation of Executive compensation packages. At the time (and still is), New York was the World Headquarters of Pfizer Inc. The Company operated world wide and as such the Human Resources Department was responsible for monitoring top level compensation and Benefit packages for its worldwide employees.
Upon graduating from the University of Chicago with an MBA in Fiance in May, 1974, , this was my first full time position. As a Consultant for this firm specializing in international Consulting in Finance and Human Resources, I was assigned to work with numerous multinational corporations such as Pfizer, Singer, Otis Elevator, Sumitomo, Merck and others offering consulting services in Human Resources and Finance. Examples included designing executive compensation, benefit and bonus packages, updating, creating or revising basic accounting systems, writing Job Descriptions, Budget Forecasting and Inventory Control Methods

Commissioned Ensign in 1969. Initial duty was with Beachmasters, stationed at Yokosuka, Japan and Vietnam. After two years of this duty, was promoted to LtJg and was assigned to LST Washtenaw County, also stationed at Yokosuka, Japan as the Operations Officer, third in command. The primary function of the ship was to carry the Marines stationed in Okinawa to Vietnam and and back to Okinawa, Received National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal and Meritorious Unit Commendation upon Honorable Discharge in1972. Received promotion to Lieutenant in 1972
