  • General Duty Corpsman: Provided adequate care to all active duty and dependents within the Naples, region, emergent or non-emergent. Perform preliminary physical/physiological assessments based on reported symptoms and chief complaints. Annotate patient care, history, vaccinations, and medications, and upload documents in reference to patient care all into GENESIS HEALTH PORTAL. Obtain and interpret vital signs. Execute physician's deposition and discharge patient with supplemental information. Always keep learning new things. Cooperate with physician, nurses and other departments to develop a treatment plan that best treats the patient.
  • Emergency Vehicle Operator (EVO): Respond to emergencies within Support Site and Capodichino installations as a qualified emergency vehicle operator. Decide the safest most appropriate route to an emergent patient and assist with patient care and vital signs on scene. Transport patients to higher echelon of care both with military medical centers as well as Italian network hospitals abiding by local laws.
  • Emergency Medical Technician (EMT): Respond to emergencies within Support Site and Capodichino installations as a qualified emergency medical technician via NREMT. Assess the scene, treat immediate life threatening injuries, stabilize patient, render treatment and medication en route, and relay patient and medical information via radio to the EMD. Transport patients in need of a higher echelon of care to a network hospital out of town, assessing the patients condition en route.
  • Assisted 16 providers and 19 nurses in the direct treatment of approximately 572 patients patients, Obtained IV access , EKG's lab specimens, administered medications, performed splints, and irrigated wounds. Screened patients for COVID and assisted in the direct care of COVID-19 positive patients. Responded to 18 EMS calls as an EVO/EMT, transported 14 patients who required a higher echelon of care within Italian network hospitals. All patient interactions resulted in 100% patient satisfaction and zero negative outcomes. Performed daily equipment checks of 4 ambulances, 4 patient treatment rooms and 3 negative pressure rooms. Conducted monthly consumable checks for 3 emergency code carts.
  • Contributed 170 hours to vaccine administration which led to 3,870 vaccines being administered across the AOR. Assisted in 240 patient registrations in MHS Genesis with 209 positive ICE comment cards and 99% satisfaction rate.

  • TeamSTEPPS Instructor: JAN2023: Team Strategies and Tools to Enhance Performance and Patient Safety is a fundamental course that all DOD staff are familiar with. As an Instructor my role is to educate my fellow Shipmates and DOD staff on a systematic approach to effective communication and teamwork through a series of different phases. Topics include: eliminating harm to patients, achieving high reliability, creating a learning organization, and targeting a culture of safety for you, coworkers, and patients. Participating as a TeamSTEPPS Instructor does not only allow me to educate other Sailors and DOD staff but also improves my self growth and development when working in the Emergency Medical Department as I am able to differentiate different tools taught throughout the course for communication and most importantly, patient safety.
  • Command Sexual Assault Medical Forensic Examiner Assistant: 27FEB2024: appointed with the responsibilities of overseeing the DoD Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Office, direct DoD component implantation of this Instruction, direct the Director, SAPRO, be informed of the consulted on any changes in DoD policy or the UCMJ relating to sexual assault, update the Deputy Secretary of Defense on SAPR policies and programs on a semi-annual schedule, direct the implantation, use, and maintenance of DSAID, maintain the Defense Sexual Assault Advocate Certification Program (D_SAACP), the DoD-wide certification program, with a national accreditor to ensure all sexual assault victims are offered the assistance of a SARC or SAPR VA who has obtained this certification in accordance with DoDI 6495.03.
