Starting rugby at 12 years old, I left my household at 15 to go to Japan to learn more about the game and to play at a higher level while simultaneously learning another language and culture. At first, I had two complications I needed to work on. To play in matches I needed to learn Japanese to communicate with my team while having to put on mass. With hard work and determination in my second year of being in Japan, I was finally able to be a starting member of our matches at a top level. We would then proceed to be able to compete in the national tournament, allowing me to get a scholarship in rugby for University.
As a result of playing rugby in prestigious schools, I have learned how to identify complications and comprehend what I need to work on. While implementing my knowledge into daily work and life.
