After evaluating both SaaS monitoring services and on-premise solutions, we opted for Datadog due to its balance of cost, operational efficiency, and stability. We deployed custom agents in a serverless architecture to optimize monitoring across production, staging, and development environments. We utilized Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices, aiming to reduce long-term operational costs and ensure scalability.
