- Successfully worked on current On-road vehicles from concept stage to production.
- Exterior Design Engineer: Specialized in Design and Development of Bumpers, Molding and other Trim parts.
- Development starts with Concept creation by benchmarking competitor vehicles to define the specification list pertinent to the segment and design intention.
- Material selection for the specified parts and making concept sheet for cost estimation.
- Make mass estimation and make the concept presentation for Design Review.
- After concept approval, making digital design, checking regulatory, Manufacturing, appearance and aesthetic requirements of the vehicle and giving feedback to design team to make the desired design with approval of all stake holders.
- Checking of Low Speed Crash requirements: to calculate the amount of force exerted on the Bumper system and develop Energy Absorbers to define the limit for design to achieve the regulatory requirements across different regions.
- Supplier co-ordination: After concept approval, making quotations for different suppliers, make design review with suppliers and help the OEM to finalize the best suited supplier.
- Once Supplier is finalized, make technical documents to share with the suppliers to make them understood the design concept and clarify the doubts.
- Daily Communication with suppliers to make smooth development of the parts and to ensure the supplier achieves development milestones.
- Creation of Analysis sheets for maintaining Gap and Flushes considering part and assembly tolerances; achieving appearance quality of the vehicle to match with Global Competitors.
- Design Review for digital part development and proceed towards Tool kick off with Stake holders and Management approval.
- Step by Step support during Physical lot involving in Issue resolution, making design modifications and ensuring to achieve Production timeline.
- Creation of Technical Documentation for after Sales.
- Made assembly and exploded view drawings, detailing the methods to assemble/disassemble the vehicle parts for assembly line, vehicle dealership and customers.
